My Story

I have always been interested in anything new. When I was younger I spent most of my time outdoors in the beautiful, overgrown, forests around where I lived. Building brush shelters, building dams, making and repairing tools, foraging, thinning the brush and working with wood. I was often alone and had time to study animals and nature.

To compliment my outdoors endeavors I had a fascination with mechanics, electronics and logic. I learned through observation, experimentation and asking questions. Eventually ideas like building boats and automatic looms outgrew my skills and recourses. That is when my dad told me about CAD saying “you know, there is software that can do that”(model things virtually, calculate CG, simulate stresses, etc). He had no experience with any such program, only knowing that they existed.

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.

Be clear, be confident, and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now.
